Farhana and Bodiva have joined forces as ‘Desi Designer Wedding Cakes’ to cater for the growing demand for Asian Mehndi and wedding cakes by bringing the first freestyle signature Mehndi designs on cakes to Wales. These personalised cakes provide a spectacular looking and tasting cake for your event. Designs can be from simple and elegant to as extravagant as you want. Single layer to 8 tiers, different shapes, sizes, filling, colours and styles available. Each signature design cake is decorated according to your colour, theme, culture and of course personal taste. Every cake can be differently designed for each of your special day, whether it’s your Mehndi, Nikkah, Reception, Wedding or Walimah.

Mehndi cakes are usually 1-tier cakes, but we also now have 2 & 3 tier cakes for the Mehndi, which will be something different and provide enough slices for everyone to enjoy, at your big Mehndi night. Wales leading Henna Artist Farhana (Est 1999), can also design patterns to incorporate the Mehndi pattern of your cake onto your hands, making it unique and capturing everlasting images.http://www.farhana.co.uk

Fillings

We cater for your Halal needs, as well as vegetarian needs. The fillings can be a simple sponge cake, to carrot and chocolate cake.

Toppers

We also have Desi doll toppers that look very sweet on top of your beautiful wedding cake. The toppers can also be tailor made to your taste if you require something unique.

Other Celebrations

Desi Designer Cakes also cater for Akikah, Eid and Diwali celebrations (Please note for these orders, cakes have to be from 95 slices onwards).

Process

Once you have decided on your wedding theme and colour, Farhana will discuss with you design and style of the cake. Farhana will then give you an idea of what the cake will look like and order is made from then. We give full consultation, to make sure our brides are 100% happy with their order, to give a wow factor on the wedding day. Our cakes are so unique and spectacular looking, some say ‘Its too good too eat’..

Terms and Conditions

Mehndi Cakes are only available with Wedding cake orders.

A 50% deposit is taken on booking (non-refundable on cancellation).

Swansea based and pick up only, however a delivery service and cake table setting service is available for an additional charge.
